Welcome to the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors
We are a growing membership organisation, committed to improving and professionalising educational assessment, in schools, colleges, professional organisations and the workplace. The CIEA offers training and accreditation of assessors and examiners for their important work. At present there is little training available in the highly professional skill of assessment and no tradition of senior examiners being trained for the role. The CIEA’s vision is to build a professional assessment workforce, for the benefit of all students and professionals who take exams and qualifications.
